Let x be the ones and y be the tens digit of a number. Acordingly:-
10y+x=8(x+y). or. 2y -7x =0………….(1)
y-3x=1…………………..(2)
Solving the two equations x=2. , y =7.
The number= 10y+x=10×7+2 =72. Answer
