Poona pact (September 1932) The Poona Pact refers to an agreement between B. R. Ambedkar and M. K. Gandhi on the reservation of electoral seats for the depressed classes in the legislature of then British India

Poona pact was signed for reservation of SCs and STs in elections. SCs and STs are given reserved seats in the assembly as per their %age in population.
