20/28 = 5/7
5/7 = 15/21
so the profit is 21% if discount is 15%

36%.

Explanation below:

Assume MP is 100, then the discount is 20. Hence SP is 80.

profit here is 28%., SP should be 128%. ( CP + profit)

80 is 128 %

x is 100 %

i.e

80 / x = 128 / 100

i.e., x = 80*100 / 128 = 62.5

Therefore CP is 62.5

if 15% discount is given on MP of 100, then  SP is 85.

CP is 62.5,

85 is (100 + x)% where x is the PP

62.5 is 100%

85/62.5 = (100 + x) / 100

i.e x = ((100*85) / 62.5) -100 = 36 %

the profit percentage is 36 % when the DP is 15% on the MP.
