Adsorption is an exothermic process. ... So, rate of adsorption decreaseswhenever temperature is increases. This due to the fact that, whentemperature is increases, the kinetic energy of adsorbed molecules getsincreased and they overcome the electrostatic force of attraction by the adsorbent surface.
