positive acceleration occurs due to the increase in speed. Even a slight increase indicates that the acceleration has not moved into the negative direction. According to the equation of motion a= (v-u)/t V is the final velocity and u is the initial velocity. If v is more than u, the acceleration would be positive.

+ve acceleration- A bus or car moving with increasing speed has positive acceleration. We can say that it is accelerating with the direction of travel.
