  • Chemical change is a process where one or more substances are altered into one or more new and different substances.

# Burning of hydrogen in air is chemical change because -

  1. When hydrogen burns in air, water is formed. Here, a new product is formed during tbe process.
  2. Chemical (as well as physical) properties of product (water) are different from participating substances (hydrogen & oxygen).
