Let the number be x

x/7 + 2 = x/5-4

2+4 = x/5 -x/7

6 = 7x-5x/35

6×35 = 2x

35×6/2= x

x = 35×3

x = 105

hi

let the number be x

When seventh part of a number is increased by 2 we get the fifth part of the same number decreased by 4

so lets form an equation

1x/7 + 2 = 1x/5 - 4

1x/7 - 1x/5 = -4-2

5x - 7x/35 = -6

-2x/35 = -6

x = 35*-6/-2

x = 35*3

x = 105

hope it helps u
