Answer ⇒ Yes, the duration of day-night slightly increases when tall buildings are constructed on earth.
Explanation ⇒ When the tall buildings are constructed, the effective radius of the earth slightly (means very small, approximately zero. Sometimes expressed as the Limit tends to zero) increases.
We know that the mass remains the constant, thus the moment of inertia of the earth which is represented by 'l' is slightly increases.
To conserve the angular momentum ( represented by L) of the earth the angular velocity (ω = L/I) will slightly decreases. This means that the earth rotates slower now and takes more time to complete one rotation. Thus the the duration of day-night slightly increases.
Hope it helps.

✔Yes, because the CM of tall buildings are much above the ground.
✔It increases moment of inertia of the Earth.
✔As the Earth’s rotation does not involve torque, its angular momentum is constant.
✔When MI is increased, the angular velocity of Earth about its axis of rotation is lowewed.
✔However, the increase is very small.
