Refractive Index of the water w.r.t glass = 0.9
Angle of Incidence(i) = 26°48’
∴ Using the formula,
Refractive Index = Sin i/Sin r
⇒ 0.9 = Sin 26°48’/Sin r
⇒ Sin r = 0.45/0.9
∴ Sin r = 0.5
⇒ Sin r = Sin 30°
On comparing,
r = 30 °
Hence, the angle of refraction is 30 °.
