Answer : The final volume of gas is 5 L.

Solution : Given,

Initial volume = 5 L

Initial temperature = 300 K

Final temperature = 600 K

Let, Initial pressure = x

Final pressure = 2x   ( as per question)

Using combined gas law,

\frac{PV}{T}=constant

Formula for two gases,

\frac{P_1V_1}{T_1}=\frac{P_2V_2}{T_2}

where,

P_1 = initial pressure

P_2 = final pressure

V_1 = initial volume

V_2 = final volume

T_1 = initial temperature

T_2 = final temperature

Now put all the given values in this formula, we get

\frac{(x)\times 5L}{300K}=\frac{(2x)\times V_2}{600K}

By rearranging the terms, we get the final volume of gas.

V_2=5L

Therefore, the final volume of gas is 5 L.
