when the temperature of air is low enough then what happen to rain?

If temperature of air is low enough, then the rain drops condense and turn into ice form. They may form as snow. However, if there is heavy wind, which can keep the rain drops up in the air for a longer time, then the snow pieces clump together and you have what is called Hailstorm.
