When we cut our hairs they become blunt and when they grew up why they turn pointed?????

when we cut our hair, they are blunt but as soon as they grow up they are pointed due to the fact that the growth starts from the scalp and as everything in nature wants to acquire minimum surface area, it also does so. Growth of hair is just adding of proteins to it.
