The resulutant vector of any two vectors can be find in 2 ways i.e their dot product or by their cross product. Consider a and b is 2 vector we have to find their resultant vector considered as c. So, c may be a.b= abcos theta. which is max. if theta = 0. means c= abcos 0 = ab. And if we find c in a×b = absin theta which is max. if theta = 90. so, ab sin 90 = ab. hope it helps u..........
