Proteins are synthesized in the cytoplasm of a cell with the help of ribosomes.

The "proteins are synthesized" in the cell through a process called translation, with the help of ribosomes, tRNA, certain enzymes and ATP. An mRNA is translocated from the nucleus of the cell into the cytoplasm, in the cytoplasm, the mRNA is caught by the ribosomes that are decorated on top of the Endoplasmic reticulum to translate it into protein.
