DNA found in thecell's nucleus as nuclear DNA. An organism's complete set of nuclearDNA is called its genome.

In eukaryotic cells, DNA is found in the nucleus and in the mitochondria.
In prokaryotic cells, DNA is found in the nucleoid and, if present, in plasmids.
