The birthplace of stars is the space.
The gases in space get bundled up due to gravity. This builds pressure inside and causes fusion. This makes a star.

The birthplace of stars is a nebula. A large mass of hydrogen accumulates and condenses to form a large mass which is called a star and all this process is occurring in nebula... and when a star dies it gets converted into a black hole ;) hope it helps
