Salivary glands are located in the buccal cavity.
.some of the salivary glands are located below the tongue.(sub-mandibular)...other is sub-lingual at the floor of mouth through many ducts and the third one parotid is present near to your ear..
These drain saliva into yr mouth which helps in converting starch into maltose(30% occurs here)...and also helps in masticating food...and allows swift movement of the bolus(chewed food) ..
