The sum of five consecutive numbers is 500.

Their sum

x + x + 1 + x + 2 + x + 3 + x + 4 = 500

5x + 10 = 500

5x = 500 - 10

x = 490/5

x = 98

The smallest of five consecutive numbers is 98. Hence other five consecutive numbers are

x + 1= 98 + 1 = 99

x + 2 = 98 + 2 = 100

x + 3 = 98 + 3 = 101

x + 4 = 98 + 4 = 102

Thus five consecutive numbers are 98, 99, 100, 101 and 102
