Answer:

The pulmonary trunk and pulmonary arteries carry blood destined for the lungs for oxygenation not oxidation you certainly wouldn't want your blood to be oxidized. That means something entirely different ( removal of electrons from molecules ) from picking up a load of oxygen

Answer:

There are three types of blood vessels in human body. 1.Arteries, 2.Veins and 3.Capillaries.

1.Arteries - Arteries carry oxygenated blood from heart to different parts of the body. The walls of arteries are thick and elastic because here the blood flows with very high pressure and arteries do not have valves.

2.Veins- Veins carry deoxygenated blood from different parts of the body to the heart. The walls of veins are thin and non - elastic because blood flows with low pressure.

3.Capillaries-These are single cell thick.Arteries divides to form capillaries and capillaries join together to form veins.

Hope it'll help. Thanks for giving me such an opportunity of helping you.
