Yashwant Singh, former Member of Parliament from Hazaribagh Constituency, Jaharkhand was honored with the highest civilian award of France, Officier de la légion d’Honneur (Officer of the legion of Honour).

He was the former Finance Minister and senior BJP leader. He was given the "Officer of Legion of Honour" award for his contribution in international issues and deepening Indo-French strategic ties.
