Following are the factors affecting urbanisation in Brazil:

a) The mild and humid climate of South and south eastern part of Brazil.

b) Availability of water and network of transport facilities.

c) Deposites of minerals and steady supply of energy resources and fertile land helps to grow urbanisation in Brazil.

d) Besides these factors, the government is promoting "Go West"

policy which will reduce pressure on few areas where population is concentrated and will reduce regional imbalance in the country.
