Given:

Integers

To find:

The integer to be added to (-7) to get 10

Solution:

The required integer is 17.

Let us assume that the required integer be X.

We are given that the resultant integer is 10 which is positive.

So, the number that will be added to (-7) has to be positive.

Using values,

X+(-7)=10

Using subtraction and addition, we get

X-7=10

x=10+7

X=17

Therefore, the required integer is 17.
