Hiesenberg: Na

Hiesenberg: Na is ahead of Mg in the period so it has less ionisation enthalpy and more tendency to donate electron

Na is more electropositive . Why??

In the periodic table from left to right atomic size decreases. Since Mg comes after Na , Na is bigger than Mg.

Greater the size, greater will be the tendency to give the electrons. That is greater will be electropositivity

Hope it helps
