Seems like you are aiming to do something in the field of medicals. To be very honest, you'll have to do a lot of self study. Studying in a coaching is one thing, but revising the notes later and applying your knowledge is something else.
As far as the comparison is concerned, I would prefer Akash over FIITJEE for Medical foundation. FIITJEE focuses more on PCM but Akash would divert the attention to Biology also.
Talking about the tests, Akash ensures a lot of revision as well. There will be a weekly test for each subject. It would be similar to concept tests you give in your school, but with high level questions. FIITJEE on the other hand will conduct such tests only for the Ranker's batch. Else, there'll be a test known as 'Phase Test' every month.
But weekly tests are a good way of revising and recalling. Monthly tests are a challenge sometimes. We won't be able to recall what we did at the beginning of the month which is quite tragic by the way.
Assuming that you don't know what Ranker's batch is? This is a batch of a few selected students who are provided with the best teaching staff. So you can see the selection being done at various levels. These coaching institutes would try to get the most out of the ranker's batch than any other lower batch.
DLP package is availble both in Akash as well as FIITJEE.
