With the exception of Earth, all of the planets in our solar system have names from Greek or Roman mythology. This tradition was continued when Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto were discovered in more modern times. Mercury is the god of commerce, travel and thievery in Roman mythology.

The correct answer for your question is Earth.

Except Earth, all the other planets of our solar system has been named after Greek or Roman deities. Even though Pluto was discovered in the modern era the planet has been named after a famous Roman God, the Roman God of Death. Never mind, now the Pluto has been excluded from the list of the Planets of the Solar System and added to the lists of dwarf planets.

There is a name of Roman God or goddess behind the name our planets in the solar system except Earth. The hard part is still there is no explanation for the name of Earth and how it got its name.
