Hello dear friend!

Convex lens is a converging lens.

Anomi: if refractive index of material lens is less than 1 .. then?
Anomi: u are wrong
Anomi: u can't say directly
Hemamalini15: By my mom has taught me convex lens is a comverging lens and even in my guides and books it has been given
Anomi: in which std. u are?
Hemamalini15: tenth
Anomi: that's why
Hemamalini15: Hm
Anomi: go in higher classes.. u will get the solⁿ
Hemamalini15: ok

basically u can't tell.. about nature of lens ..it might be concave or convex ..when u will study the lens maker formula in higher classes.. u need the refractive index of material of lens to tell about its nature..
generally till 10th class ans is convex..
