Which military dictator took hold of the elected Government in 1999 in our neighbouring country Pakistan?

"The Military dictator who took hold of the elected Government on 12th October 1999 in our neighbouring country Pakistan was Parvez Musharraf who was the chief of army staff and he then became a president of Pakistan on 20th June 2001.

He was disqualified from taking part in the election in 2013.
