Charminar, is the monument built by Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah in 1591 to commemorate the end of plague in the city.

Gateway of India was that monument which was erected to commemorate the landing of King George V and Queen Mary at Apollo Bunder, when they visited India in 1911.
