For the given reaction,

N₂ (g) + 3H₂ (g) ⇋ 2NH₃(g), the correct option is :

(b) Kₚ < K꜀

1. We know that

Kₚ=K꜀. (RT)^∆n ( from laws of equilibrium ) where ∆n is the change in the moles from reactants to products.

2. In this reaction we see that

∆n= 2 - (3+1)

= 2- 4

= - 2

3. Thus, putting in above equation, we get

Kₚ=K꜀. (RT)^ (-2)

Kₚ=K꜀./(RT)^2

Kₚ.(RT)^2=K꜀

4. Thus, we see that K꜀is greater than Kₚ

i.e, Kₚ<K꜀

5. Thus (b) is the correct answer.
