Hi ,

Let x is the required number ,

According to the problem given ,

( 5 + x ) / ( 13 - x ) = 4/5

5( 5 + x ) = 4 ( 13 - x )

25 + 5x = 52 - 4x

5x + 4x = 52 - 25

9x = 27

x = 27/9

x = 3

Therefore ,

Required number = x = 3

I hope this helps you.
