we know binding energy per nucleon means - the energy required to break the nucleus per nucleon.
that means more stable substances will have greater binding energy.
and we obviously know that a daughter nucleus is always more stable than the parent nucleus.
therefore the daughter nucleus would have higher binding energy!!
