Anti diuretic hormone is related to urine concentration in mammals

Explanation:

ADH or Anti diuretic hormone acts on kidney by maintaining the volume and osmolarity of urine.

ADH is mainly produced in the posterior pituitary which increases the amount of water reabsorption in the DCT (distal convoluted tubules) and collecting duct.

ADH also decreases urine volume and thus decreases the osmolarity of plasma.

Diuretic is a substance which increases urine volume which in turn increases plasma osmolarity and this function is inhibited by secretion of ADH which prevent reabsorption of water in the nephron.
