Liver is the organ of the body involved in jaundice. The symptoms of  Jaundice is severe abdominal pain, changes in mental function, drowsiness, blood in stool and vomit, yellowish pigmentation seen very clearly on body and eyes.

Explanation:

  • Liver is an organ which synthesizes various salts and pigments such as Bilirubin.
  • Bilirubin combines with the bile juice which moves into the digestive tract which then, is eliminated from the body.
  • Most Bilirubin is excreted out of the body through faecal removal, but some of it is eliminated through urine.
  • If due to various reasons, Bilirubin does not move through the bile ducts very quickly, it gets accumulated on to the skin which causes Jaundice.
