Organelles

Organelles are sub-units of cells that are found within a cell and each is being tasked with a specific function.

Some Organelles are :- Nucleus , Ribosome ,  Endoplasmic Reticulum , Cytoplasm , Golgi Apparatus etc.

Endoplasmic Reticulum

  • A network of tiny tubular structures scattered in the cytoplasm of a cell is called Endoplasmic Reticulum.

  • Endoplasmic Reticulum divides the intracellular spce into two the luminal and extra luminal compartments.

  • There are two types of Endoplasmic Reticulum , The Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum and The Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum.

  • The Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum are those bearing ribosomes at ends.

  • The Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum are those without ribosomes at ends.
