Greater convergence of light rays are done by cornea. After cornea most of the light convergence is done by eye lens and ciliary muscles after the light ray has entered the eye.
Iris is the first part which allows the light rays to pass through the eye.
Cornea has a diameter of 12mm horizontally and 11 mm vertically. 75% of the focusing power of eye is provided by cornea.
