There are 4 lobes in human brain;
- Frontal lobe
- Parietal lobe
-Temporal lobe and
- Occipital lobe.
Parietal lobe is present in the middle of brain and receives the tactile sensory information coming from the body. This part of a brain responds to pressure, pain and touch. This lobe is further categorized into three regions:
- postcentral lobe
- superior parietal lobe
- inferior parietal lobe
There is a region inside this parietal lobe called somatosensory cortex plays a major role in processing of body’s senses.
