The Punjab regions were under the Bhangi Misi. The headquarters were at Amritsar.

The Sardars spread the region from Attock to Multan and was a strong power base in western Punjab.

Due to the death of many notable leaders of the Misi, the powers declined drastically. Ranjit Singh defeated them in Lahore.
