The one reproducing sexually has better chances of survival because of genetic recombination that takes place.

During meiosis of cell division, there is exchange of genetic material. This brings about genetic variation among individuals and makes them a better fit for survival with the changing environment.

In case of asexual reproduction, there is no fusion of gametes and no recombination takes place. The new generation receives the genes of the single parent, thus, there is no variation. This is a disadvantage in terms of survival of the fittest.
