The main difference b/w ribosomes of eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells is that eukaryotes have large ribosomes whereas prokaryotes have small ribosomes. The prokaryotes have 80s unit ribosomes having mass about 4200kd while prokaryotes have 70s unit ribosomes having mass of only 2700kd.
