Pond is an aquatic habitat.

• An aquatic habitat or an ecosystem is mainly made out of the interdependence of different aquatic communities living in that aquatic habitat.

• But,in the case of a water tank,it is only an artificially produced water body for the fishes where other aquatic communities are not observed and the interdependence among these communities are also not observed.

• That's why we cannot call a water tank as a water habitat.

• On the other hand, the pond has all qualities to being a water habitat.
