According to the constitution of India, legal age(minimum) to participate in Lok Sabha election is 25 years.

So, this is what is followed in India.

The legal age for participating in panchayat elections is 21 years and for the municipality, elections are 18 years.

Eligibility to contest in elections:

He/She must be an Indian citizen.

Must be older than legal age.

Must be of sound mind.

Must be an elector in the constituency in which he is participating.
