Royal family can participate in the ritual worship. This temple has a idol of Shiva whose height is four meter. In temple two walls are encircled to provide a personal area for the worship for royal family. This temple is situated in Tamilnadu. The entrance gate is decorated by beautiful images such as picture of goddess Saraswati. This temple was built by King Rajendra Chola during 11th century in Thanjavur.
