Zero is said to have been discovered by Aryabhatta.. But is it really so ? I mean , most of the informated data on Google is saying the following point :

● Zero was invented independentaly by the Babylonians , Mayans and Indians. The babylonians got their number system from the Sumerlans , the first people in the world to develop counting sytems.

I think that zero was invented by Babylonians , and the others mentioned above and the final work was done by Aryabhatta.

HOPE IT HELPED.. :))

zero was discovered independently by Babylonians, Indians and the Mayans. People think that the Indian number system is influenced by Babylonians. So these Babylonians got their number system by Sumerians who were the first people who have discovered or developed the counting system. This counting system was developed 4000 to 5000 years before the Sumerian system was than positional. The concept of zero was fully developed in 5th century AD.
