Well, that's one way to start a war in comment sections of answers.

Here, try fighting this one out. It's outright foolish to ask which one is better without giving any time frame.

No club is best forever.

Not even when you are comparing just two clubs. Just look at the stats alone with different time frames and you will see the logic.

1950–1960 : Real Madrid won first 5 European championship.2006–2016 : Barcelona was top of the world with almost all league titles and many trebles in between.2016– Mar 2017 : Real Madrid is top of the league and going strong in CL.1990–1999 : Barcelona practically ruled La Liga.

Now Madridistas (like me) will say we have 11 CL and in overall history of 100 or so years, Real Madrid has better stats.

Barca fans with reply with their favourite “1 league title in 8 years”, and point to recent decade of performances of both clubs.

Like in stock market, neither past success nor the recent success, tells the whole story of future success.

So it's foolish to compare the two without a time frame
