Madan Mohan Malaviya set up the Hindu Collage as he realised the prevailing poverty in India and the decline in income of Indians compared to Europeans and he also wanted to focus on technology and science, besides the study of India's religion and culture because he knew that it was important. Thus he decided to build the Hindu Collage
