Active Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject is performing the action.

Passive Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject undergoes the action. In other words, it is writing the sentence in reverse order.

Example: Drew is opening a shop. (Active)

A shop is being opened by Drew. (Passive)

Who was holding the function? (Active)

The function was being held by whom? (Passive)

Hope it helps :)
