Napoleon Bonaparte was the military dictator of france who took advantage of the politicle instability to become the emperor of France in 1804. He passed laws for the protection of private property. He established a uniform system of weights and measures

In 1804 he crowned himself emperor of France. He set out to conquer the neighbouring European countries, dispossessing dynasties and creating kingdoms where he placed members of his family.
