The Jacobins were a political club that discussed government policies and planned their own actions form. The Jacobins got their name from the former convent of St. Jacob in Paris. After the fall of the monarchy rule i.e. after the death of Louis XVI and Marry Antoinette it was the Jacobins that took control over France. It was due to this that France became a full Republic.
