The socialists in the 19th Century were :-
1)Robert Owen
2)Karl Marx
3)Louis Blanc etc.
Robert Owen, an English manufacturer established a cooperative community called New harmony in Indiana. The means of production was jointly owned by Cooperatives and Yields were shared equitably .
Karl Marx too gave his theory .
Louis Blance believed that government to encourage cooperatives and set up cooperative organisation to replace Capitalist institutions.
