Gopal Hari Deshmukh (Lokhitwadi) was a great thinker, writer and social reformer of Maharashtra during the British rule in India. He wrote a series of laters under the pen name Lokhitwadi in a weekly newspaper Prabharkar. The letters came to be known as Shatapatre.
